Deposit Bond Australia Pty Ltd (“DBA”) commenced business in February 1990. During the first eight (8 ) years of its operation the company focussed primarily in structuring construction and commercial funding packages. In early 1995, the company was contracted to establish the Century 21 Customer Finance program which DBA then administered for the ensuing 3 year period.

In October 1997, DBA saw a further change of direction into product development. DBA has been instrumental in developing 2 long term Deposit Bond products with a term equal to or greater than 36 months.

The first was developed in association with GIO Insurance Limited (“GIO”) and introduced to the market by Deposit Bond Australia in March 1998.

The second deposit bond was developed in conjunction with GE Mortgage Insurance Services (formerly GEMIS now known as Genworth Financial) culminating in the launch of the GE Deposit Guarantee product in October 2001, now known as Deposit Saver.

DBA is currently authorised to issue deposit bonds for QBE (Australia) Limited.

DBA has met its ongoing responsibility as to accurately qualify many thousands of purchasers’ financial capacity to settle. The reputation for reliability is borne out in the fact that during the past 10 years less than 1% of vendors accepting deposit bonds issued by DBA have had to make a claim.

From inception of the product, DBA’s concerted effort has been to educate the professional and consumer markets. As a consequence deposit guarantees issued by DBA are widely accepted by Vendors, their Solicitors and Lenders.

DBA is currently developing new products and services, which will complement the benefits of the deposit guarantee product. Through expanding our services and creating new product, we are able to assist members of the general public, their financial advisors and vendors with their broader property purchase needs.
